Maulānā Abū Ammar Zahid al-Rashidī's Scholarly Contributions: An Analytical Study

Abstract

Maulana Zahid Al-Rashdi belongs to a scholarly and religious family. He is the son of sheikh Al-Hadith Maulana Sarfraz Khan Safdar.He is one of the well-known personalities of Pakistan. Maulana opened his eyes in a scholarly environment since his childhood. After receiving his primary education, he got regular religious education in seminary and later on got closely affiliated with the same field. He is considered among the prominent scholars of the era. He also well-known for his writing services and his research articles have been published in many newspapers and journals. The history of more than half a century is hidden in his heart of Maulana Zahid Al-Rashidi, which reaches us from time to time in the form of his articles and writings. He was practically involved in many movements such as Khatm-e-Nabuwwat Movement, Nizam e Mustafa Movement and Shariat Bill. He has written numerous books; with a keen eye on the modern issues of the present day which is reflected in his books. A special feature of his writings is that he present his life experiences and observations to the readers along with the sources. Keeping all these features in mind, I have presented an introduction to his books and an analytical study of nine books, so that the readers can get an insight and get benefit from the same.
