Abstract

Water pollution has become a global issue in current times. Water is the  substantive source of life on Earth. Unfortunately, Water is being polluted  continuously. Research reports indicate that fifty percent population of the  world is deprived of neat and clean water. Contaminated water not only  endangers human life but also it is an alarming threat to other organisms  (animals, plants). Polluted and filthy water is being poured into rivers by  industries and factories. Garbage and solid wastes are not disposed of in a  proper way. The poisonous wastes in water are affecting humane life and  health. Industry persons do not install treatment devices in their factories  before pouring water in the canals, ponds, canals and rivers. Analysis of water  quality shows that population of large and industrial cities are living at the  risk of contaminated water. Water is a significant natural resource and is a  base of every living being. The sewage, toxic wastes of industries, insecticides  and fertilizers are polluting water. The Oil leakages from oil tankers, leather  tanneries and petroleum refineries are main causes of polluting water.  Although, some scientific devices have been invented but unfortunately, these  modern scientific devices are installed in industries deliberately. It is need of  time to highlight Islamic point of view about solution of current water  pollution. This research work explores preventive measures of water pollution  control in the light of Islamic teachings and modern science.
