Abstract

The purpose of Madrasa education is to promote religious education and Islamic learnings. In the process of achieving this broader aim, passed out madrassa students could not get proper qualification for jobs in the market except teaching in madrasas and mosques. Therefore,they limit themselves to some particular jobs. Madrassa education is not considered suitable to respond the challenges and requirements of modern era.Instead of spreading secterian education Islamic Madrassas need to minimize sectarianism.Islamic Madrassas should produce modern science education experts who could work for implimentation of Islamic Law in Pakistan.In this way, these production of Madrassas would be able to work for Pkistan, Islam and the preaching of Islam and also capable to face modern chalanges of western thoughts and answer all the objections which are being arose against Islam.In this context, the Government of Pakistan is trying to introduce reforms madrasa system. In this article, some suggestions are being put forward for the improvement of the quality of madrassa education and in a way where the madrassa students can play their role to meet the challenges of 21st century.
