This research discusses the Islamic principles of domestic etiquette in child upbringing, focusing on aspects such as dress, speech, and social behavior within the home. Islam is not only a religion but a complete code of life that emphasizes moral, social, and spiritual development. The family is the primary institution of education where a child learns the fundamentals of manners and ethics through observation and imitation of parents. The study highlights that clothing in Islam is meant to ensure modesty and decency; therefore, parents must teach children to wear attire appropriate to their gender, culture, and religious values. Similarly, Islamic teachings stress cleanliness and orderliness, such as wearing shoes properly, greeting family members with peace (Salam), and maintaining respect while entering or leaving the home. Moreover, polite communication, responding respectfully to calls, and expressing gratitude in giving and receiving reflect the moral refinement encouraged in Islam. The Qur’an and Hadith provide comprehensive guidance for these aspects, shaping children into individuals of dignity, humility, and gratitude. By following these etiquettes, parents nurture children who embody the virtues of respect, modesty, and kindness, essential for a peaceful and ethical society. Thus, the domestic application of Islamic manners in child upbringing is a foundational step toward forming morally strong and socially responsible generations that uphold the values of Islam in their personal and communal lives.
