Abstract

The rhetoric of Succinctness and its impacts on speech in prophetic sayings as treated in “Mirqāt-al-Mafāteeh” (A commentary on Mishkāāt-al-Masābeeh by Mulla Alī ibn (Sultān) Muhammad Al Qarī). This research in organized in the introduction, preface, explanation of Succinctness literary and rhetorically, the conclusion and the index. It goes without saying that the prophet Hazrat Muhammad SAW, was the most eloquent not only among the Arabs but also in the entire world. No doubt, the fountain of all types of eloquence, rhetoric is Quranic and prophetic eloquence. In the explanation and interpretation of Islamic concepts, issues, the prophet adopted the very effective style to covey the massage to the listener. In this paper, the meaning and significance of prophetic eloquence has been presented and the using of prophetic Succinctness and their impacts on speech in the noble prophetic traditions from the given book has been explained with the examples in details.
