Abstract

"Third san-e- hijri was a glorious period of Ilm-e-Hadees.In this era not only initiate the categorization of Ahadees-e-Rasool(s.a.w.w) as per their reference from the sayings of Sahaba and Ta'been but also began efforts to segregate the Sahi and Zaeef Ahadees.As a result of these efforts Imam Bukhari compiled his "Sahi", the first exclusive book on Sahi Ahadees.After that Imam Muslim and many other Muhaddiseen followed Imam Bukhari by prioritizing their focus on Sehat-e-Ahadees while compiling their books.Imam Tirmzi in his"Jame" also emphasized on Sehat-eSnad-e-Hadees during the collection of Ahadees-e-Rasool(s.a.w.w) about any fiqhi command,for which no Nas Qurani is available.The present study is done to review and analyse the different styles and ways (priority on behalf of ittisal e snad,al mzeed fi muttasilil asaneed,inqita e hdees,ghrabat e hadees,kmal e zabt e rawi,sidq e rawi,zoaf o sqahat e rwaat,adm mahfuziyat e hadees,adm sima e sahabi,khtaa fil snad,khtaa fi ism il rawi and waham fi ism il rawi) along with examples from "Abwabul taharah to Abwabul jnaiz",adopted by Imam to prioritize a Hadees on the other by the principle of Sehat-e-Snad."
