Abstract

Since the early days of Islamic scholarship, commentators of hadith have sought
to
elucidate the various sciences present in the Prophetic hadiths. In
contemporary times, scholars from the subcontinent have endeavored to
emphasize the scientific significance of these hadiths in light of modern
knowledge. These scholars have meticulously highlighted the scientific aspects
within the hadiths to affirm the veracity of Prophethood. They have uncovered
scientific principles and facts, a practice known as scientific interpretation or
exegesis of the hadiths. This scientific interpretation by commentators of the
Sahih collections represents a remarkable achievement and a significant
contribution to the understanding and preservation of the Prophet's Sunnah in
the modern era. By considering various dimensions and incorporating statements
from experts and contemporary scientific research to support and verify
Prophetic statements, these scholars' efforts are distinguished. This paper
examines the work of Urdu commentators on the scientific interpretations of the
hadiths within the Sahih collections.
