Abstract

Qur’an is code of life for every Muslim, it is mandatory for  them to read it accurately and understand with the guidance of Muhammad SAW. The Quran was sent down in order to train the spirits of people, to perfect their hearts through belief and their minds through science and knowledge, to teach them true wisdom, to dissuade people from the wrong paths and to show them the way of guidance.  Muslims read it and memorized it with great  enthusiasm. They  made every  arrangements  to learn Qur’an at public and private level. In the life of Muhammad SAW, he  taught the Qur’an to companions, after them pious Caliphate did arrangements for the learning of  Holy Book. In every time and place Muslims continued this tradition of learning Qur’an . The recitation of the Quran [tilāwah] is a science, an art, and a form of devotion, governed by tajwīd, the rules of pronunciation, intonation, and approach. The arrangement for above said purpose can be divided into two forms, formal (arranged by Govt.) and informal (arranged by persons). Hajin Fazal Bibi is one of them persons who committed their lives to serve Qur’an. She taught a great number of women in the village 91 R.B. Her efforts  can be calculated as informal teaching of Holy Qur’an. This paper will analyze her services in this domain and highlight the impact of her devotion and commitment.
