Abstract

The Prophets and Messengers, peace be upon them, have always been protected by God form all kind of sins due to their high social and moral standing among their nations, in order to perform the duty assigned to them by God and, therefore, the Prophets lived their lives in a way that was the best and the prefect in all respects. Muhammad (PBUH), the last Prophet of God, has been considered at the top of the list of all the Prophets in this regard. Though his Western critics have left no stone unturned to distort the true image of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUP), in order to discredit Islam, yet there are numerous significant Western/non-Muslim writers who have, realizing the truth, recognized the Prophet (PBUH) as the most successful and influential figure of the human history at all levels. In particular, his moral attitude has been significantly discussed by many Western scholars in detail. This paper attempts to shed light on the moral aspect of the Prophet’s life as discussed and narrated by his companions and reported in the Sunni hadith compendiums, especially in Bukhari and Muslim, the two most authentic hadith collections.
